Distinguish Seamless and Welded Steel Pipe

Seamless and welded steel pipes main differences are molding process. Usually welded steel pipe such as water pipe, generally a flat plate is bent and welded to form pipe, you can find a seam in the above; thicker diameter seam should be spiral weld. However, the seamless steel pipe is made of molten steel in a molten state, through the annular slit backlog, then stretched and other treatment processes to form, there is no weld.

In performance, especially on bearing capacity, compared with welded steel pipe, the seamless steel pipe has greatly improved, they are often being used for high-voltage equipment. Weld area of welded steel pipe is its weak link, weld quality is also a major factor to influence overall performance.
